Macalester College
Macalester College is a private undergraduate liberal arts institution
located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1874, Macalester College is
widely known for academic excellence and a charming urban campus community.
EEA has effectively integrated engineering design and construction administration
services for a variety of physical plant projects for Macalester College
over the last several years.
New Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center
(85,000 SF) Systems were engineered to integrate offices, conference
facilities, food and support services
New George Draper Dayton Residence Hall
(40,000 SF) Mechanical and electrical
systems integration.
Kagin Dining Hall Renovation Total
remodeling
of the existing campus dining facility.
Boiler Plant Renovation Added new
boiler to increase campus heating and thermal storage capacity. New chillers
complete air conditioning provision including energy-efficient equipment
and new pumping and piping throughout entire campus.
The expanded physical plant successfully met the increased heating and
cooling demands. EEA was awarded the Minnesota Consulting Engineers Council
Honor Award for design of the Macalester Physical Plant Expansion, and
Macalester College received utility company rebates higher than estimated.
